New Bill to Cut Down Accidents

A new Florida bill aims to reduce the number of distracted driver related accidents throughout Jacksonville and the entire state.
The Minor Traffic Safety Act would ban cell phone usage in vehicles for drivers in Florida under the age of 18. With these underage teens just learning to drive in the past few years, any distraction could be fatal. The law strives to take away at least one more of these alleged distractions.
Under the act, minors who are found violating the terms are subject to being fined or ticketed by the local law enforcement.
Pending the decision of the bill, minors in Florida may have to put a display on their rear view mirrors identifying them as minors and the number of other minors an underage teen could drive around would be limited.
If you or a loved one has been the victim of a distracted driver related car accident, do not hesitate to consult with a Jacksonville personal injury attorney. You and your family may be entitled to compensation if another party's negligent behavior caused your accident.
